7 months old

Satchel is 7 months old now. The training classes he went to were so beneficial. He is very well behaved and mannered. With Kyle being away in the Army it is very nice to have Satchel around for company.

bootcamp

Here is a photo of scott, kyle and angela just before he went into the recruiters office to leave for bootcamp.
Kyle has been gone to bootcamp for a week now. He is in Fort Benning Georgia where it is horribly hot and humid. This first week he has been in reception where he has gotten his shots, haircut and uniform. We have received two letter and one phone call. So good to hear from him. We all miss him so very much.

William has a new home

William has found a new home. She is now residing with a wonderful woman and her daughter who have other dragons that she can play with.
Kyle leaves this morning for bootcamp. I am so torn between being so damn proud of him and his choices and then again wanting him to be here where I know he is safe. THis is one of the hardest things I have ever done.

playtime with satchel and kyle

I caught Kyle and Satchel playing together on the couch. Both of them are growing way too fast. Kyle is almost 6 feet tall and towers over me and Satchel is huge.....as you can see.

Kyle Graduates!!!

We thought this day would never get here. He did it, he graduated from high school. THis was not an easy road for him and he fought hard and earned every single unit. We are so very proud of him. On the 17th he leaves for bootcamp in Georgia. We are going to miss him so very very much.

Senior Awards Night

Last night we went to the high school for Senior Awards Night. They were honoring the men that joined the military that are graduating this year.......this would be Kyle.

Kyle on the right with his friend Joe waiting for the program to start
Kyle on the right receiving the flag

The high school did a very nice program. When the young men were handed the flags the madrigal choir was singing America the Beautiful. It was very touching.

Satchel was 6 months old yesterday. He is a big beautiful boy. The training lessons were well worth every penny. He will go off leash out into the field with us and stay right by our side if we tell him heel. If we tell him to lay down and stay he won't move from that spot until he is released. Truly amazing. we are working with him every day and he is doing so well.
